“Antigone’s Pride – Performing Society” masterclasses in live streaming
Antigone’s Pride – Performing Society is the latest international project of Astràgali Teatro, supported by the Creative Europe program of the European Union Education and Culture Executive Agency with the prestigious partnership of the Grotowski Institute of Wroclaw (Poland), the Alicia Alonso Dance Foundation, Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain), the Theatro Tsi Zakynthos (Greece), and the Department of Innovation Engineering of the University of Salento. The project revolves around the myth of Antigone and aims at the creation of innovative models in the field of performing arts based on environmental and intercultural sustainability and co-creation between artists and innovation engineers.
On 1 and 2 March Antigone’s Pride – Performing Society will host three masterclasses held by high-profile and internationally renowned speakers, broadcast live on the youtube channel and on the facebook page of Astràgali Teatro.

Nadia Setti, Professor Emeritus of Comparative Literature and Gender Studies, University of Paris 8/LEGS.
Title of the speech: Antigone: a Life’s Voice that cannot be silenced
Jorge Gallego, professor at the Institute of Dance “Alicia Alonso” of the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, professor of Acrobatic Dance and Circus and Dance Theatre (IUDAA-URJC).
Andrés Avecedo, professor at the Institute of Dance “Alicia Alonso” of the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, actor, choreographer and director.

Augmented Reality Techniques for Performing Arts
Speakers:
Massimo Bergamasco, Professor of Theory of Mechanisms and Machines at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, Director of the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence of the School.
In 1991 he founded the Perceptual Robotics Laboratory and, from 2016 to 2019, he was director of the Institute of Communication, Information and Perception Technologies of the School.
From 2018 to 2022 he was appointed president of the Artes 4.0 Competence Center coordinated by the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
